Cylindrical Roller Bearing

Cylindrical Roller Bearings are used in gearboxes, wind turbines, machine tool, electric motors, pumps and steel mills.

Cylindrical roller bearings facilitate mounting and dismounting as they are separable, the modified line contact between the rollers eliminates edge stressing and both bearing rings can be given a tight fit.

The outer rings have either rigid ribs or no ribs at all on both sides while the inner rings have either one or two ribs or none at all.

While a cylindrical roller bearing can be supplied with or without a cage, the cage plays a role as it prevents the rollers from coming into contact with each other during rolling.
